Introducing Dr. James Habershon

During high school I began developing constant headaches. My parents initially believed I was just making excuses; calling them “study headaches” however my local football club president, was a chiropractor and he suggested to my parents to get me checked.  He examined my spine and adjusted me, removing the nerve irritation. After a schedule of treatment my headaches amazingly cleared and I found studying easier and to my parents delight and my surprise my grades improved. So soon after starting year twelve, the newly offered chiropractic course at Murdoch University was in my sights and after seeing the improvements that chiropractic could make in my own health, I jumped at the chance of joining a profession solely focused on helping other people reach their optimum health potential.

After 5 years, I completed my Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Chiropractic Degrees at Murdoch University studying a wide variety of subjects including anatomy, biochemistry, pathology, orthopedics, radiology and diagnosis. I learned everything from how to take x-rays, to rehabilitating a dislocated shoulder. I also discovered the depth and beauty of the human nervous system and how it affects everything in the human body. My first inspirational chiropractic moment was when I performed a chiropractic technique on my grandmother which eased her indigestion considerably, which really opened my eyes to the power of chiropractic.

Having completed the five year degree at Murdoch, I was fortunate enough to be accepted for a position at South Perth Chiropractic and have been providing care to patients during the months that Dr. Mike has been on long service leave. Already I have experienced that we are all a little different in our health care requirements and with Steve’s upcoming departure to travel the world I have been spending time carefully reviewing all patients’ cases and treatment plans so that I can provide each individual with the techniques that work for you.

I look forward to meeting you and hope to gain your trust and allow me the privilege of continuing to optimize your health and wellbeing.

Dr. Mike Asks some important questions of interest to South Perth residents - Chiropractor South Perth Dr. Mike Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Can babies with colic be helped with chiropractic?
It's probably one of the times a parent feels the most helpless. But based on the research, chiropractic and colic relief appear to go hand in glove. With success rates in the mid-90% range, more and more South Perth parents are seeing a chiropractor. If you have a baby with colic learn how chiropractic may help.
