Introducing Dr. Sarah Skilton

Dr. Sarah SkiltonHello, my name is Sarah Skilton, and I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the newest member of the South Perth Chiropractic Centre team.

It gives me great fulfillment to change a persons’ life, especially when they have a chronic problem. As a young teenager I suffered severely from headaches and migraines. When a migraine struck I was violently ill and in severe pain. After an attack it would take me 4-5 days to recover, which disrupted my study and daily activities. I was always told migraines and headaches were common in young adolescent females and most likely due to hormones. Unfortunately at the time I did not know much about chiropractic and after suffering for many years without relief I saw a chiropractor.

My chiropractor advised me of the benefits of chiropractic care for headaches and migraines. To my amazement and relief after only a few adjustments my headaches were gone, and keeping up with regular adjustments, the occurrence of a migraine is now few and far between. Since the irritation has been taken off the nerves, my body is able to function to its full potential, which has made a huge difference to my life. If only I had known about the benefits of chiropractic care many years before. I love my work, and am passionate about the importance of spinal checkups. Ensuring your nervous system is working to its optimum potential, no matter what your age.

I was born and raised in Perth, and have always loved the health sciences and been amazed at how the human body works. Learning of the chiropractic course at Murdoch University, I knew this was my path and future. So after 5 years of study I graduated from Murdoch University with honours.

To me chiropractic is an essential part of optimal health and wellbeing. Now settled at South Perth Chiropractic I look forward to meeting and assisting you in your quest for better health.

Dr. Mike Asks some important questions of interest to South Perth residents - Chiropractor South Perth Dr. Mike Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Can babies with colic be helped with chiropractic?
It's probably one of the times a parent feels the most helpless. But based on the research, chiropractic and colic relief appear to go hand in glove. With success rates in the mid-90% range, more and more South Perth parents are seeing a chiropractor. If you have a baby with colic learn how chiropractic may help.
