Meet the South Perth Chiropractic Centre Team
Hilary O'Connor

I have been seeing chiropractors for over 15 years. Initially I sought treatment for the blinding migraines I had been experiencing. Now days, I enjoy a checkup because of how much better I feel and function when my nervous system is working properly. My son is now studying at Murdoch University to become a chiropractor.
The thing that I really love about working in this office is the lively atmosphere, the staff, the great patients and healing energy of the place.

Before I started working here, I was a patient here for about 6 years. I started seeing Mike because of a neck problem that I had been experiencing for many years. He helped my neck, and so much more, and I was hooked! When the chance to work here arose, I jumped at the opportunity.
I love seeing the healing that goes on in this office, and seeing all the happy smiling people that come through. It’s amazing to see the changes that happen in peoples lives.

I have been seeing Mike for monthly adjustments since I was 16. I always knew how much my adjustments made me feel better whenever I would have them, but it wasn't until I started working at South Perth Chiropractic that I really saw some of the differences that chiropractic can make to people’s lives.
I lived in London nannying for 3 years and on my return in 2008, after talking to Mike, took a job with South Perth Chiropractic. Most of my time is spent keeping the admin side of the clinic running, but I can also be found at the front reception desk. My favourite thing about being here is the wonderful atmosphere of the clinic and the great fun relationships that the staff have. It is also a very family orientated clinic so it is lovely to get to know the patients and see their families grow.

After graduating high school I was interested in working within the health field but wanted to take a gap year to gain some practical knowledge and experience. When I first started at South Perth I knew very little about chiropractic and after a few months I decided to get a check up although I’d never experience back or neck pain. Since then I’ve learnt so much about chiropractic and it’s relationship with the nervous system and now I love getting regularly adjusted because it keeps me feeling great.
Being a CA here is such a rewarding job as I work with a wonderful, caring team and I’m able to meet so many new people and see how chiropractic benefits their lives.

My interest in Chiropractic began when I first saw a chiropractor when I was 13. Over the next few years I structured my studies around the sciences, and was successful in gaining entry to study the course at Murdoch University. I was lucky enough to start working at South Perth Chiropractic Centre in my first year of study, in 2008. It was here that I saw the full picture; the inner workings of a busy chiropractic clinic and the massive effect it had on people’s health and how it had the potential to change their lives. My love for chiropractic was further strengthened by seeing changes in my own health, all through being regularly adjusted at South Perth. Having my chiropractor realign my spine and take the pressure off the nerve controlling my lungs, they were able to function properly. This means that I now do not have any problems with asthma, and can breathe easily again! I didn’t think such amazing results were possible without years and years of chemicals prescribed by a doctor; ones that only seemed to treat the symptoms and not get to the actual cause. I am loving working in such a friendly and vibrant environment; interacting with the patients, other staff at the front desk as well as learning invaluable skills that will enhance my future career as a chiropractor.

I love being a part of the fantastic team here at South Perth Chiropractic. Not too long ago I started to experience lower back pain; that was so constant and severe that it prevented me from living my normal life. I tried many different therapies to help my situation but nothing worked. Luckily I discovered Chiropractic and six months after my first adjustment I was enrolled in the Chiropractic program at Murdoch University.
As a first year chiropractic student in 2008, I jumped at the chance when a position here opened up. South Perth Chiropractic has provided me with a constant source of inspiration as I am witness to the miraculous results our patients here receive. It truly is amazing to see Chiropractic improve so many peoples lives as it has mine, I love helping the chiropractors, I love connecting with the patients, I just love this job!
